Trinity to buy DMI's three North American wind tower plants

Trinity Industries says it has entered into definitive agreements with Otter Tail Corporation to purchase some production assets of rival utility-scale wind tower manufacturer DMI Industries for $20m.

The assets to be acquired consist primarily of approximately 61,800 sq metres of heavy manufacturing capacity and equipment located in the US states of North Dakota, Oklahoma, and Ontario, Canada.

The Ontario transaction completed on 6 September. Trinity will take possession of the property, plant, and equipment in the remaining facilities in two separate closings which are both expected to occur in the fourth quarter.
