The
French
manufacturer
already
has
a
nacelle
and
hub-assembly
facility
in
Camaçari
and
is
now
developing
a
second
factory
at
an
undisclosed
location.
The
company
declined
to
provide
details
of
operations
at
the
new
plant
or
how
much
it
will
cost
to
build.
However,
construction
has
already
begun
and
the
plant
should
be
up
and
running
next
year.
Alstom
currently
has
400MW
of
wind
capacity
in
construction
or
ordered
in
Brazil.
It
expects
soon
to
announce
orders
that
will
double
that
figure,
including
business
from
other
Latin
American
countries.
