Vestas
revealed
late
yesterday
that
it
was
in
talks
with
MHI
regarding
a
"potential
strategic
cooperation",
but
gave
no
further
details.
“Mitsubishi
Heavy
has
a
strong
balance
sheet,
an
onshore
wind
portfolio
and
long
experience
in
capital
goods
manufacturing
–
but
it
lacks
the
experience
that
Vestas
has,
particularly
in
the
offshore
sector,”
says
Levy.
The
analyst
says
that
a
potential
agreement
could
involve
MHI
taking
a
stake
in
Vestas
through
a
private
placement,
as
well
as
forming
a
joint
venture
for
the
development
of
a
new
7MW
offshore
