Vestas seeks investor for up to 20% stake, says chairman

Wind turbine giant Vestas is seeking an investor to take a stake of up to 20% in the company, which is determined to stay Danish, says recently-appointed chairman Bert Nordberg.

The comments confirm that the world’s biggest maker of wind turbines expects to link with a strong, active investor to help it weather the challenges facing the industry.

Nordberg, who took over as Vestas chairman at the end of March, told Danish newspaper Berlingske that he is working to secure a single partner prepared to take a stake of between 10% and 20% and an active, long-term role in the business.
