Nordex gets first order under Finnish framework deal

German turbine manufacturer Nordex has won a contract to equip the 21.6MW Honkajoki wind farm in Finland from wealth-management company Taaleritehdas.

The wind farm will comprise nine of Nordex’s N117/2400 turbines mounted on 120-metre towers.

It is the first firm order under a framework agreement signed with Taaleritehdas in June for the delivery of up to 111 turbines with a capacity of 260MW.

That deal represented one of Nordex’s largest ever sales agreements.

“This is a further key order for our N117 turbine, whose quality we are now also able to demonstrate in Scandinavia,” says Nordex board member Lars Bondo Krogsgaard.
