Fera hands Vestas first Italian deal for V100 wind turbine

Vestas has won an order for 11 units of its V100-1.8MW turbine for the 19.8MW Santa Luce wind farm in Tuscany, Italy.

The order – Vestas' first for the turbine in Italy – has been placed by Santa Luce, a special-purpose company of Italian developer Fera.

The contract includes a 15-year service and maintenance agreement. Delivery of the first turbines is expected to start during the third quarter, with commissioning due to take place before the end of the year.

Fera has previously installed 45MW of Vestas turbines at other wind farms in Italy.
