E.ON and MPX to acquire 600MW Brazil wind pipeline

E.ON and Brazil’s MPX have signed an agreement to acquire 600MW of wind power projects valued at R$22.2m ($10.8m) in a joint venture effort.

The 600MW Projeto Ventos includes the Jandaira, Pedra Preta 1 and Pedra Preta 2 wind farm complexes, and the deal includes an option to acquire an expansion of those projects, potentially doubling the size.

It is not clear from which group the projects are being acquired.

The joint venture company has 158.7MW of the projects registered for the A-3 and A-5 regulated tenders, scheduled for October.
