The
turbines
will
be
delivered
to
developer
TuuliMuukko's
Muukko
wind
farm
near
Lappeenranta
in
eastern
Finland,
with
construction
due
to
start
in
early
2013.
Alstom
has
also
signed
a
12-year
operations
and
maintenance
contract.
The
21MW
Muukko
plant
will
be
added
to
Finland’s
current
installed
wind
capacity,
which
stood
at
197MW
at
the
end
of
2011.
There
are
currently
more
than
7.8GW
of
wind
power
projects
under
development
in
Finland,
of
which
about
3GW
are
offshore,
according
to
Alstom.
Finland’s
government
has
a
target
of
2.5GW
of
wind
energy
by
2020.
