The
Danish
manufacturer
will
deliver
its
V100-1.8MW
machines
to
the
50.4MW
project
in
the
final
quarter
of
this
year.
The
wind
farm
–
which
is
being
developed
by
special-purpose
company
Grupo
Dragon
–
is
expected
to
be
up
and
running
by
the
second
quarter
of
2013.
The
deal
with
Vestas
includes
a
10-year
service
and
maintenance
agreement.
According
to
the
turbine
producer,
Los
Altos
is
significant
as
the
first
major
project
to
be
sited
outside
the
Isthmus
of
Tehuantepec,
where
the
vast
majority
of
Mexico’s
wind
farms
have
so
far
been
built.
