The US arm of Italy's Enel Green Power (EGP) has started operations at its 150MW Rocky Ridge Wind Farm in the state of Oklahoma.
The plant, which uses 93 GE 1.6MW turbines, spans 18,000 acres leased from 75 landowners.
Power produced at Rocky Ridge will be bought by local utility Western Farmers Electric Cooperative.
EGP North America operates more than 1GW of clean-energy capacity in the US and Canada.
