Mitsubishi signs 564MW service deal for Infigen US wind

Mitsubishi has signed a 564MW deal to provide extended maintenance and service for turbines at five wind farms across the US.

The deal between Mitsubishi Power Systems Americas (MPSA) and plant owner Infigen covers the Japanese manufacturer's 1MW machines at wind farms in four states.

MPSA recently told Recharge that it is looking to its service business to see it through a looming downturn in sales opportunities for turbines in the US.

“The support business will carry us through,” said Harm Toren, vice president and chief strategic officer for maintenance, who is based at MPSA headquarters in California
