GE secures 10-turbine order to equip Swedish wind farm

US manufacturer GE has won a 27.5MW order to supply turbines to a wind farm in Sweden.

GE will deliver 10 of its 2.75-103 machines to the Triventus project being built near Falkenberg on Sweden’s west coast.

Developer Triventus Wind Power will take delivery of the turbines in the first and second quarters of 2013.

The wind farm is due to enter service during the second quarter. GE will maintain the turbines under a five-year service agreement.

GE sold 40 onshore wind turbines to Swedish developer Stena last year, and is also conducting trials of its 4.1MW offshore machine in the country.
