Goldwind sells 19.5MW Australian wind farm to China Guangdong

China's Goldwind has sold its 19.5MW Mortons Lane wind farm in Australia to China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group subsidary CGN Wind Energy.

Goldwind says it has now achieved a power purchase agreement (PPA) after securing a connection agreement with network operator Powercor Australia in November 2011.

The Western Victoria site is the first to deploy Goldwind's permanent magnet direct-drive turbines (PMDD) turbines, the company says.

The project, which will consist of 13 1.5MW turbines, has been developed due to the support of the Australian government’s renewable energy target (RET), Goldwind Australia’s managing director John Titchen says.

Goldwind Australia has its own project management team overseeing the construction of the Mortons Log in to read complete article.
