appointed
Xabier
Etxeberria
to
the
newly-created
role.
Etxeberria
joins
the
company
from
the
automotive
arm
of
engineering
group
GKN,
where
he
spent
10
years
at
the
GKN
Driveline
division.
Etxeberria's
appointment
was
announced
by
Ignacio
Martín,
Gamesa’s
recently-appointed
executive
chairman
–
who
also
spent
a
large
part
of
his
career
at
GKN.
Martin
–
who
replaced
former
Gamesa
boss
Jorge
Calvet
in
March
–
unveiled
the
appointment
as
he
made
his
first
appearance
at
a
meeting
of
the
company’s
