Around the world, 230 events in 40 countries are planned to celebrate Global Wind Day on 15 June, an annual event where the industry opens its doors to educate the public about one of the world’s fastest-growing — but poorly understood — renewables technologies. Unlike solar power, which sits on people’s roofs, wind power is mostly large, remote and industrial in scale.
