Big names expected to bid for Denmark's 1GW of offshore wind

Two proposed offshore wind projects in Denmark, with a total capacity of 1GW, are expected to attract the interest of some major international players, Danish Wind Industry Association chief executive Jan Hylleberg tells Recharge.

Tenders for the projects, Horns Rev 3 and Kriegers Flak, will be launched next year. They are the only offshore projects not spoken for in Europe, and Hylleberg believes there will be interest not only from international companies, but also from newcomers to the offshore market.
