The
Indian
wind
group
says
the
expression
of
interest
(EOI)
agreement
covers
the
development
of
capacity
at
various
locations
in
the
state.
These
include
the
districts
of
Bijapur,
Dharwad,
Mysore
and
Belgaum.
Suzlon
says
under
the
terms
of
the
EOI
it
will
take
the
role
of
developer,
while
the
Karnataka
government
will
handle
the
regulatory
issues
needed
for
the
new
wind
capacity.
Suzlon
already
has
more
than
700MW
operating
in
the
state,
which
has
an
estimated
total
wind
potential
of
some
13GW.
