BNDES may take stake in wind developer Renova Energia

The Brazilian development bank, BNDES, is negotiating a participation in wind developer Renova Energia.

BNDES subsidary company, BNDESPAR, is negotiating the possibility of entering the company's equity through a private subscription of shares. Renova is traded on the BMF&BOVESPA stock exchange.

If approved, the investment will be in units and the total amount of the capital increase will be of up to R$315m ($154m). The price per unit will be R$28.
