project
was
built
by
Grupo
Salinas,
a
major
Mexican
corporation
that
operates
in
the
television
industry,
the
telecommunications
sector,
and
the
financial
markets,
and
Grupo
Dragon,
an
agrochemical
corporation.
The
project
will
supply
the
Grupo
Salinas’s
retail
stores
and
the
38
municipalities
of
Chiapas,
and
should
avoid
the
emission
of
45,000
tonnes
of
CO2.
Vestas
provided
16
V90-1.8MW
turbines
for
the
turnkey
project,
which
includes
a
ten-year
maintenance
contract.
REM
Generación
Eléctrica
Mexicana,
a
company
set
up
specifically
for
the
construction
of
the
wind
farm,
built
the
project.
