Mytrah wind capacity target slips as plans change in India

Indian wind developer Mytrah has reached about 224MW of installed capacity from seven wind farm projects – less than it previously hoped.

Mytrah says the total puts it on track to become the country’s largest wind independent power producer (IPP) within the next few months. But it also leaves it short of the 400MW it told its investors in March that it expected to have in place by the end of this month, following changes to its development plans.

The capacity now in place includes the fully-completed Tejva, Mahidad and Chakala wind farms totalling 106.2MW, as well as 118MW at four more sites that are part-commissioned.
