GE and Tamoin get 400MW Iberdrola wind maintenance deal

An Iberdrola wind farm

Spanish utility Iberdrola has signed an agreement with GE and Tamoin Energías Renovables to maintain wind farms in Spain with a capacity of 400MW.

The contract is for three years, with an option for a two-year extension, and covers 310 GE wind turbines installed in nine Iberdrola plants.

The deal is the biggest maintenance agreement signed with GE in Europe, Iberdrola says.

Iberdrola has sealed a series of new maintenance contracts over the last few months, including agreements with Gamesa and others with Tamoin.

Tamoin says it has established itself as one of Iberdrola's “suppliers of reference". The Basque-based industrial services company has a staff of 1,300.
