Infinis adds trio of UK projects to onshore wind portfolio

Infinis already owns Scotland's Ardrossan wind farm

UK renewable energy operator Infinis has acquired a portfolio of three wind farms with a total capacity of 25MW.

Infinis paid an undisclosed sum to buy the plants from developer Broadview Energy.

The portfolio comprises operating wind farms in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, and Leicestershire, England.

A third project currently under construction in Teesside, northeast England, will add 10MW when it comes online at the end of this year.

Infinis – which is expanding its wind portfolio through construction and acquisition – expects to have more than 275MW of onshore capacity on its books by March 2013.
