28-year
agreement
will
make
it
easier
for
E.ON
to
service
the
288MW
project,
which
will
be
its
first
commercial
offshore
wind
farm
in
German
waters
when
it
is
commissioned
in
2015.
The
O&M
base
will
employ
as
many
as
150
full-time
workers
–
or
more
than
one-tenth
of
the
archipelago’s
total
population.
E.ON
intends
to
invest
heavily
in
the
base,
including
plans
to
expand
the
southern
harbour
to
accommodate
a
slew
of
new
service
and
storage
facilities,

as
building
new
piers
and
breakwater
