UK's Eoxis to equip first Indian wind farm with 50MW from Suzlon

UK-based Eoxis has ordered 24 Suzlon turbines for its first wind farm project in India.

Eoxis will use the Indian wind equipment group’s S97 2.1MW machines at the 50.4MW project in Rajasthan.

The wind farm is due to be commissioned by January 2013.

Eoxis – which is backed by renewables investment specialist Platina Partners – says it has “ambitious long-term plans” to be a leading global clean-energy independent power producer (IPP). Its portfolio mainly consists of solar plants in Spain.

The Rajasthan project is its first Indian wind venture, but it recently completed its first solar plant in the country – a 15MW PV facility in the Log in to read complete article.
