researchers

Trust
for
Ornithology
and
the
Royal
Society
for
the
Protection
of
Birds
(RSPB)
Scotland
examined
the
impact
of
wind
farms
on
birds
during
construction
and
long-term
operation.
Researchers
monitored
ten
species
at
18
UK
wind
farms,
and
found
that
the
main
threat
to
species
is
during
construction,
when
red
grouse,
snipe
and
curlew
populations
declined.
