Infigen extends Vestas service deal for 368MW in Australia

Vestas has signed a five-year extension to its service contract covering 368MW of its turbines operated by Infigen Energy in Australia.

The extended agreements cover 166 machines across the three stages of the Lake Bonney Wind Farm in South Australia and the Alinta Wind Farm in Western Australia.

The Danish manufacturer will now service turbines at the plants until the end of 2017.

Infigen says the deal includes Vestas providing turbine availability guarantees.

The manufacturer’s service fees will be calculated on the basis of actual power production, and it will be entitled to performance payments if turbine availability exceeds pre-set levels, says the Australian group.
