Northstone
has
been
selected
as
preferred
bidder
for
work
that
includes
construction
of
access
roads,
cable
works
and
turbine
foundations
at
the
136MW
Harestanes
Wind
Farm
in
Dumfries
and
Galloway,
and
the
12MW
Middleton
project
in
East
Renfrewshire.
Northstone
is
also
the
principal
contractor
on
a
project
to
develop
a
£50m
new
terminal
for
the
assembly
of
offshore
wind
turbines
at
Belfast
Harbour.
The
50-acre
facility
will
support
the
construction
of
the
389MW
West
of
Duddon
Sands
offshore
wind
farm,
which
is
a
joint
venture
between
ScottishPower
