Northstone lined up for ScottishPower onshore wind work

Iberdrola-owned ScottishPower Renewables is set to award contracts worth more than £20m ($32m) to Northstone to deliver infrastructure works at two onshore wind farms in Scotland.

Northern Ireland-based Northstone has been selected as preferred bidder for work that includes construction of access roads, cable works and turbine foundations at the 136MW Harestanes Wind Farm in Dumfries and Galloway, and the 12MW Middleton project in East Renfrewshire.

Northstone is also the principal contractor on a project to develop a £50m new terminal for the assembly of offshore wind turbines at Belfast Harbour.
