Alstom to supply four Brazilian wind farms with 108MW

Turbine producer Alstom will supply 108MW to wind farms being built by Odebrecht Energia in Brazil.

The French company will provide 40 of its 2.7MW ECO 122 turbines for four developments in the state of Rio Grande do Sul.

Odebrecht won contracts to supply power from those projects via Brazil’s federal tender system.

Alstom had previously planned to supply the plants with ECO 86 machines for a total of 116MW.

Alstom will also handle the supply and installation of electrical systems and substations for the projects – Corredor do Senandes II, III and IV, and Vento Aragano I.

The wind farms are scheduled to start commercial operation…
