Update: Nordex to exit offshore wind after joint venture talks fail

German turbine-maker Nordex says it will leave the offshore wind business after abandoning plans to form a joint venture in the sector.

Efforts to reach an agreement with a potential partner to take its offshore ambitions forward have failed, says Nordex.

A statement says: "Nordex aims to sell the assets of the offshore business to other interested parties in the short to medium-term.

“The business unit Offshore will be discontinued. The employees of the unit will be assigned to other Nordex business units.”
