Nordex wins first Chinese order for N90 wind turbine

German manufacturer Nordex has won its first order from China for its N90/2500 wind turbine.

The 30MW order is from Zhongmin Wind Power, a subsidiary of the Fujian Investment Group.

The state-owned company plans to install around 1GW of new wind-power capacity over the next five years, according to Nordex, which is currently gearing-up its China manufacturing plants to produce its 2.5MW platform.

The turbines will be installed at a wind farm close to Zhongcuo, with completion due by the end of 2012.
