Rainer
Heinsohn,
a
spokesman
for
Cuxhaven-based
PNE,
tells
Recharge
the
decision
was
made
because
Vestas
would
not
be
able
to
deliver
enough
of
its
new
V164-7MW
turbines
in
time,
and
the
company
wants
to
use
larger
and
fewer
turbines
at
the
project.
As
recently
as
its
last
quarterly
financial
results,
PNE
still
indicated
that
Vestas
would
be
supplying
77
of
its
smaller
V112-3.0MW
turbines
at
Gode
Wind
1,
which
is
one
of
the
closest
projects
to
shore
in
the
German
North
Sea,
some
35km
north
of
the
East
Frisian
Islands.
