Mytrah signs 2.8GW wind-power deal with Andhra Pradesh, India

Indian wind power developer Mytrah Energy has signed a memorandum of understanding with the government of Andhra Pradesh to develop 2.8GW in the state.

As part of the agreement, Mytrah will have exclusive rights to develop a number of sites it has identified as having strong wind potential for the next seven years.

Mytrah says that Andhra Pradesh has a wind potential of in excess of 11GW, with a current installed base of only 150MW, and claims the state “is set to become a major driver of growth for wind installations in India.”
