The
Ministry
of
National
Property,
in
an
agreement
with
the
Ministry
of
Energy,
granted
land
in
the
Taltal
district
to
Enel
Chile,
a
subsidiary
of
Italy's
EGP.
The
concession
includes
2,600
hectares.
Feasibility
studies
and
an
environmental
impact
assessment
will
be
analysed,
after
which
the
company
will
build
the
99MW
project
with
33
wind
turbines.
The
specific
machine
to
be
used
was
not
identified.
The
Taltal
wind
farm
will
connect
to
the
central
grid,
SIC,
through
a
substation
60km
away.
The
tender
that
awarded
the
land
was
announced
in
December
2010,
