Gamesa sells 38MW Pennsylvania wind farm to enXco

Gamesa is selling its 38MW Chestnut Flats wind farm in Pennsylvania to enXco, the US subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles.

Chestnut Flats, which is due to begin commercial operations by the end of 2011, uses Gamesa’s 2MW turbines.

Ownership of the wind farm, in Logan Township in the state’s northwest, will pass to enXco by the end of the year once the deal is finalised.

Chestnut Flats is the third wind project to be developed by Gamesa in Pennsylvania, where its US turbine manufacturing operations are centred.
