Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has received a 101MW order from US utility Consumers Energy for its Lake Winds Energy Park project in Mason County, Michigan.
The
order
is
for
56
of
Vestas'
V100-1.8MW
turbines,
with
delivery
and
commissioning
scheduled
for
2012.
Vestas
says
its
total
year-to-date
order
intake
has
reached
4.2GW,
compared
to
its
full-year
2011
guidance
of
7-8GW.
Analysts
estimate
the
total
of
smaller
orders
that
are
unannounced
to
add
up
to
about
0.5GW.
