consortium
issues
a
tender
for
project
development.
The
Long
Island–New
York
City
Offshore
Wind
Collaborative
issued
a
study
showing
that
the
proposed
wind
farm
located
13
to
17
miles
(20-27km)
off
the
Rockaway
Peninsula
coast
and
Long
Island
could
create
up
to
$2.7bn
in
new
economic
activity.

4,700
jobs
during
construction
and

to
170
on
a
permanent
basis,
depending
on
project
size
which
could
double
to
