Gamesa sells 48MW Pelplin wind farm to Polish utility

Spanish wind power company Gamesa has agreed to sell its 48MW Pelplin wind farm in Poland to PGE Energia Odnawiana (PGE EO), the renewables subsidiary of Polish utility PGE.

The Pelplin facility, in the Pomorskie region in northern Poland, is currently under construction and Gamesa says it has agreed to hand over the finished wind farm during the first half of 2012.

The wind farm consists 24 Gamesa G90 turbines.

Gamesa’s wind farm development division has a portfolio of 677MW of projects in different phases of development.

It currently has 108MW under construction, with another 78MW due to begin construction this year.

Gamesa says it has a portfolio in the whole of Eastern Europe of more than 1GW.
