at
both
direct-drive
and
gearbox-driven
turbine
models
between
3MW
and
6MW,
and
has
begun
the
process
of
narrowing
the
list
of
vendors,
spokesman

Recharge.
Bluewater
expects
to
make
a
final
selection
this
year.
Although
not
named
by
the
company,
leading
contenders
are
believed
to
include
General
Electric
(GE),
REpower,
Siemens
and
Vestas,
and
possibly
some
smaller
vendors
with
existing
offshore
turbine
models.
Several
other
European
suppliers
and
Clipper
Windpower
also
are
gearing
up
to
compete
in
that
