Gamesa signs 300MW deal with China Resources Power

Spanish wind turbine manufacturer Gamesa has signed a contract to supply 300MW of turbine capacity to China Resources New Energy Group (CRP-Renewable), the renewables arm of China Resources Power (CRP).

The contract is Gamesa’s maiden deal with CRP and the first concrete result of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that it signed in April to supply 900MW to three Chinese companies: Longyuan, Datang and CRP.

Gamesa will deliver 150 of its G90 2MW turbines to CRP in the second half of 2011 for deployment at six wind farms in the Chinese provinces of Heilongjiang, Shanxi and Guangdong.

CRP-Renewable held stakes in 42 operating wind farms with a combined installed capacity of 646 MW as of late 2010. Log in to read complete article.
