Juwi to build renewables in Chile and South Africa

Renewable energy developer juwi has established subsidaries in South Africa and Chile as it prepares investments in wind and solar power.

“South Africa is at the beginning of a great development as the country offers great potential for renewable energies,” says Marie-Luise Pörtner, managing director of juwi Wind GmbH. “We want to establish juwi as a project developer with comprehensive services, who supervises projects throughout the entire development process – from acquisition to planning, financing, construction, operation and management.”

Activities in South Africa, initially focused on wind energy, will be coordinated from the office in Stellenbosch, located about 50km from Cape Town.
