The
announcement
of
the
much-delayed
tender
set
France’s
renewables
sector
abuzz,
though
some
observers
believe
the
government’s
timetable
–
to
have
all
3GW
in
place
by
2015
–
is
unrealistic,
given
the
lack
of
a
local
supply
chain.
Though
speculation
has
built
for
months
over
the
shape
of
the
tender,
the
government
for
the
first
time
specified
which
zones
will
be
available
to
developers,
including:
- A
750MW
site
off
Tréport
covering
110
sq
km.
- A
500MW
site
off
Fecamp
covering
88
sq
km.
- A
500MW
site
off
Courseulles-sur-Mer
covering
77
sq
km.
