Denmark's Greentech in dispute with anti-Mafia police

Danish developer Greentech Energy Systems is protesting against confiscation by Italy's anti-Mafia agency of part of the Minerva Messina wind farm it purchased from alleged mob boss Vito Nicastri.

Greentech acquired 85% of the 48.3MW Sicily-based wind farm developed by Nicastri in 2007, and the remaining 15% in May.

The Italian police's anti-Mafia agency, the DIA, has confiscated a 15% stake in the farm as part of an investigation into whether the Mafia is "going green" by laundering money through alternative-energy companies.
