checking
turbines
after
a
weakness
was
discovered
in
transition
pieces
at
Dutch
wind
farm
Egmond
aan
Zee
late
last
year,
which
set
alarm
bells
ringing.
The
structure
is
not
solid
enough
to
withstand
the
stresses
and
strains
imposed
by
turbines
operating
in
harsh
offshore
conditions.
