Italian renewables giant Enel Green Power has tied up a €153m ($211m) loan agreement with Spanish finance house Santander to underpin its wind developments in Mexico.

The 12-year Santander loan comes under the auspices of the Spanish Export Credit Agency.

Santander recently struck a deal with compatriot Gamesa to work together on developing up to 500MW of capacity in Mexico.
