Vestas has tied up a seven-year service deal renewal for 50 of its V90-3.0 MW turbines at the Kent Hills wind farm in New Brunswick, Canada.

The agreement is with operator TransAlta, which commissioned the wind farm in 2008.

Chris Brown, president of Vestas’sales and service division in Canada and the US said: “This contract extension demonstrates our strong relationship with Canada’s largest investor-owned renewable energy provider.”

The Danish wind group said it has installed 2.7GW in Canada since entering the country’s wind market in 1997.
