Gamesa has bagged a 450MW framework agreement with long-time customer EDPR for wind turbines in the US over the next three years.
The scope of the deal includes 225 of Gamesa’s G114-2.0MW
machines – its largest ever order for that model.
“This agreement strengthens the long-standing relationship
we have with EDPR globally and in North America,” says Gamesa North America
chief executive Borja Negro, adding that it “reinforces Gamesa’s presence in
the United States”.
Gamesa, which has delivered more than 1.5GW of turbines to
EDPR globally, previously collaborated with the Portuguese wind powerhouse in
the US at the 400MW Lone Star project in Texas.
