Tractebel eyes 105MW Brazil wind

Brazil’s biggest private-owned generator Tractebel Energia is looking at a 105MW wind farm in the next wind exclusive tender, the company's CEO Manoel Zaroni told local media.

According to Zaroni, Tractebel is analysing if the ceiling-price of R$117 ($77) per MWh for the next “reserve” tender is attractive enough for building the new project.

The Santa Mônica wind project is located in the state of Ceará, near the 115MW Trairí wind complex that is being built by the company.

Being close to the Trairí complex gives the Santo Mônica project important synergies when issuing its bid in the auction process.
