says
it
has
earmarked
Colombia
as
one
of
“the
most
promising
in
South
America
with
a
theoretical
wind
power
potential
of
several
gigawatts”.
Although
the
country
has
only
a
handful
of
turbines
installed,
and
is
dominated
by
hydro
and
conventional
thermal
generation,
Sowitec
believes
that
could
change.
The
developer
expects
Colombia
to
establish
a
framework
for
renewable
energy
within
the
next
few
years.
