Overall energy consumption last year was 331.6 million MWhin ERCOT, 324.8 million MWh in 2012.
Wind energy’s share of generation is expected to continueincreasing through 2016 with developers requesting 22.6GW of interconnectionwith ERCOT. About 20% to 25% of that amount is expected to be built.
ERCOT manages the flow of electric power to 23 millioncustomers within most of Texas, representing 85% of the state’s electric load.
