Featuring 55 VestasV100 1.8MW wind turbines, the C$325m ($296m) Cape Scott project is located about 40kmwest of Port Hardy on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

It will generateover 290GWh annually – enough to meet the needs of about 100,000 residents,said the partners.

Since the start ofconstruction in the summer of 2011, the project has put more than C$51m intothe local economy creating more than 300 construction jobs, they added.
